About Me
Hello!I'm Muluken. I'm native Ethiopian born and grew up in the Ethiopian capital city - Addis Ababa. I live my entire life in Addis Ababa except the two years of 2000 and 2001 G.C. when I was away from my city studying Accounting at Mekelle University in the northern Ethiopia, and when traveling in the different parts of Ethiopia leading groups of tourists around.
I've studied Tour Operations Management for two years at the Catering and Tourism Training Institute of Addis Ababa and graduated in Diploma with 'Distinctions' ranking. Since my graduation in March 2004, I have been enjoying organizing a number of tours to all parts of Ethiopia.
I LOVE my work (better call it 'passion') of organizing interesting tours and guiding visitors on those tours because :-
- It makes me explore and find the best of my quality in what I'm doing
- Adding emotional value and enriching people's lives with the tours I planned and guided makes me filled
- It makes me meet and make new friends from around the globe whose life experience is one of the ways to learn about the world and see things from another perspective
The funny part of me is I'm a good companion for sharing laughter with.
Among my most favorite places in Ethiopia, the 11 incredibly hand carved rock churches of Lalibela (12th and 13th Century AD), and the weekly held cultural markets of the tribal people of southern Ethiopia take the top place hit the top list.
